I had so much fun with my brothers and sisters and accompanying children and grandchildren. I hope the reunion never dies out.

It was wonderful to have Drew and Terese attend the reunion with us this year. Terese's first reunion. A very happy day.

Look What We Found While Riding Our Bikes

Bonka and Grandma went for a bike ride and discovered an apricot tree that had been abandoned. Apricots are Bonka's favorite fruit. They remind him of his sister who gave him dried apricots for Christmas as he was growing up.

We decided to come back with our ladders and buckets and have an apricot canning adventure. Grandma wore her special canning teeshirt. She wears this shirt everytime she cans or picks fruit. Each stain is a special memory.

After we picked the apricots, we brought them home and put them on 2 buffet tables so we could can the most ripe first.

Spencer would call this step of apricot nectar making, "poop on a stick". Bonka turns the handle of a victoria strainer and the apricot juice comes out one end and apricot "poop" on the other.

Apricot Harvest

There's nothing like a happy husband to make a happy wife!! Our shelves are once again filled with food storage: apricot jam, nectar, pie filling and plain ol' bottled apricots.

Doing the Ironman

Our ward challenged us to do an Ironman consisting of 26.2 miles of run/walk, 112 miles of bicycling and 2.4 miles of swimming. We accepted the challenge and have completed all buy a little more biking which we are finishing this week. Enjoy our travels with us.

One of our favorite hikes was the Red Pine Trail. Lots and lots of waterfalls. Many times during the trail we could see the SLC valley in the distance. It had quite an elevation change which challenged us.

We've gone on lots of bike rides. One interesting ride was to Two Rivers Subdivision in Eagle. Lots of mansions and water features. We've biked all over the green belt and also from our house to Jackson Elementary where Paul will be working next year. It's an hour's ride one-way from our house. He's thinking about biking to work next year.

Getting The Food Ready

For the 2007 Red and Green Party we ate red and green sandwiches, green chips, red salsa, 3 bean salad, spinach and cranberry salad, beet salad green veggie tray and sweets galore!! We discussed the symbols of Christmas and sang lots of carols!!

Tuesday, November 20, Bonka drove Grandma to SLC for her second eye surgery. The surgery went well and left me with just a little swelling and a black eye. We had a grand time at Pat's for our Thanksgiving meal. On Friday, we visited Temple Square with Drew and finished the weekend with a fun party at Steve's watching the BSU vs Hawaii game.
